Basuki Mitra Internusa (BMI) proudly provides customer service and management training to Selabintana Hotel and Conference in Sukabumi - West Java. This is the first time for Selabintana Hotel to receive honorable guest from US Army Pacific Command and they chose BMI to assist from the start.

The joint-exercise Garuda Shield-9 LIV TA 2015 involves 380 Soldiers of the Army Airborne Infantry Battalion-328/17/1 Kostrad led by Danyonif-328 Airborne Army Strategic Reserve Command Lt. Col. Ade Rony Wijaya and 450 United States Army (US Army) USARPAC 25th Infantry Division. This Exercise will last until August 28 2015. It focuses on Peace Keeping Operation (PKO) trainings and Field Training exercise (FTX).

Garuda Shield is a regularly-scheduled, bilateral exercise sponsored by the U.S. Army Pacific and hosted annually by the Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI-Indonesian Armed Forces). Garuda Shield 2014 marks the eighth iteration of this continuing effort to promote regional peace and security. Approximately 500 U.S. Army Pacific personnel from Hawaii and Washington, and 700 Indonesians soldiers will conduct a series of bilateral military partnership and training events focused on peace support operations to include a bilateral computer-simulated command post exercise; jungle field training exercise; combat vehicle and aviation training; and a combined arms live fire exercise.   

Pacific Partnership is an annual US-led humanitarian and civic assistance exercise aimed at strengthening international relationships with partner and host nations in the Asia-Pacific Regions. Defence is participating in Exercise Pacific Partnership (PP) from 17 May – 8 September 2015 along with regional military partners from the United States (US), Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, Fiji, Timor-Leste and Singapore.

PT. Basuki Mitra Internusa and PT. Figma Rajawali Perkasa provided security and logistics requirements during the event, including:

• Transportation

• Language support

• Shipping and delivery

• Clean and bulk water

• Medical equipment

• Construction materials

• Security

• Event management

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ash Carter visited Jakarta on Tuesday and Wednesday and delivered public remarks at the Jakarta International Defense Dialogue (JIDD).  He also met with ministers of defense from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, and with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee of Permanent Representatives. 

Basuki was assigned to provide a route protection plan and a Police escort service. We worked with 3+ police cars, 17+ police motorcycle escorts, 500+ Jakarta regional city police officers to provide a full-priority escort that is equivalent to the escort for the Head-of-State or the President. 

The visit went successful without any incident. The trips to various points visited during the visit was clear from any single traffic. (Note: Jakarta is rated as a city with the worst traffic on the planet)
